The Getaway Café Opening Soon
Calling all foodie friends....Riverlights is happy to announce our newest Marina Village tenant, The Getaway Café, operated by local chef Chef Craig Love and AnnaLee Johnston, of the Coastal South Hospitality Group. Opening January 2022, this café will have an all-day menu with a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options inspired by the American South, as well as a retail shopping “pantry” full of gourmet grocery and snack selections. Wanting to provide the best quality food to the residents in Riverlights and surrounding Wilmington area, their goal is to always utilize local farmers and producers in their menu items. Not only will they offer dine-in seating, but will provide drop-off catering with platter packages, and a GRAB-N-GO cooler where customers can grab Getaway’s gourmet packaged food. The Getaway Café is focused on being community oriented and will host “Social Club” activities including wine tasting events, local sourcing, workshops on baking, and more!
Their menu alone has us salivating with their twist of a BLT - a PLT - prosciutto, arugula and apple chutney. Maybe the pulled duck Cubano gets your taste buds excited? Now, we did call all of our foodie lovers, and hope this did not disappoint!
The Getaway Café's operational hours are set for 10 am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday an 10am-3pm on Sundays. Located in Suite 102 in Marina Village, customers can grab a bite to eat or grab something to go as they walk along the Cape Fear River, lounge in the sun in Live Oak Commons, or sit by the fire at Ember Park.
