'TIS THE SEASON FOR HOLIDAY LIGHTS, TREATS AND CHEER AT THE SECOND ANNUAL RIVERLIGHTS HOLIDAY FESTIVAL OF HOMES
& DASHING THRU THE GLOW 5K
WILMINGTON, N.C. - Nov. 20, 2017 – RiverLights, Wilmington's premier coastal community, welcomes the return of the RiverLights Holiday Festival of Homes on Saturday, Dec. 2 from noon until 3 p.m. at Marina Village followed by the Second Annual Dashing Thru the Glow 5K at 5:30 p.m. Join RiverLights in the spirited celebration full of treats, holiday activities, live music and none other than Santa Claus himself.
Festival attendees are sure to enjoy the holiday magic through a variety of event offerings. There will be live local music at Live Oak Commons along with holiday-themed activities for the little ones at the Kids' Corner. Children and families can take their photos with Santa Claus along the riverfront, while carolers sing joyous melodies. Event goers can quench their thirst with hot cocoa and cocktails and also indulge in a lunch buffet filled with classic holiday dishes from noon until 2:30 p.m. Once you have your fill, hop on a shuttle and tour the RiverLights model homes and the new Del Webb active adult community, all beautifully decorated for the holidays. Toys for Tots will also be accepting toy donations to help spread the holiday cheer.
The holiday fun doesn't end there. After the festival, attendees are encouraged to return for the Second Annual Dashing Thru the Glow 5K at 5:30 p.m. Bring the whole family and dress up in your favorite holiday attire for a fun run through the holiday lights. After the run, the RiverLights community will light up every evening throughout the holiday season at 5:30 p.m. for the community to enjoy.
