March Madness
March doesn’t only signify the beginning of spring and a change in the time, but also marks the start of one of the most important athletic events of the year: March Madness! Just like Michigan vs. Michigan State and Purdue vs. Indiana, North Carolina has its own famous rivalry in which any North Carolinian, new or old, has chosen a side. It’s made enemies of friends, family, and coworkers, and brought the most unlikely of people together: Duke vs. Carolina. Just as college football is a staple in Texas, March Madness is a staple in North Carolina and we take college basketball very seriously.
This year, March Madness commences on March 15th with the First Four taking place between March 17th and 18th, followed by the 1st and 2nd rounds, the Sweet 16, Elite 8, and finally the Final Four leading up to the Championship. 2020 March Madness predictions include, Kansas, Baylor, Gonzaga, Duke, San Diego State, Maryland, Seton Hall, and Michigan State.
