Newland Gives Back
November commemorates a time of thanksgiving where we celebrate all that we are grateful for and do our part to provide for those in need. Newland strives to give back to the community by working with local non-profits that are engaged in enhancing the Wilmington area for its residents. Riverlights has partnered with several organizations such as Kids Making it, Nourish NC, the Thalian Association, A Bike for Every Child, Camp Schreiber Foundation, Communities in Schools, Junior League, and New Hanover County Schools.
Newland wants to help where it can and encourage others to do the same. Several times throughout the year we dedicate time as a team with Nourish NC to help pack food bags for kids throughout New Hanover County Schools that would go hungry otherwise. Riverlights has also commissioned Kids Making It to create our signature logoed community benches that can be located throughout the neighborhood; this non-profit helps to provide at-risk youths with an outlet to set them up for a more successful life. Newland realizes the importance of providing for the children of the Wilmington community; we have donated extensively to New Hanover County Schools, Junior League, the Thalian Association’s Children’s Cultural Arts Program, and more. We believe in the adage that our children are our future and we want to make the world a better place for them.
As you reflect on the things you are most grateful for this month, create some time to give back to those with less.
