Family Fun at Carolina Beach
The boardwalk at Carolina Beach is an iconic part of area history. An award-winning destination, Carolina Beach offers so many fun things to do during the summer to keep both locals and tourist entertained all season long! From May-August, the town of Carolina Beach has tons of family-friendly events… most of which are free!
Kicking off the week, Tuesday nights are Family Night at the boardwalk. Grab the kids and head down to the gazebo to enjoy a bounce house, kids activities, variety shows such as magic and more! Family night runs from 6:30-8:30pm and is free.
Wednesday nights are reserved for a RiverLights team members’ favorite, B-I-N-G-O! Bring your friends and grab a seat at a table near the gazebo for the best cash bingo in town. Can you really beat playing bingo while listening to the waves crash? This event is from 7-9pm but we recommend arriving early… "B4" seats fill up (yes, that was a Bingo pun)!
Thursday nights are a big one on Pleasure Island. Catch a live band (also at the gazebo on the boardwalk) from 6:30-8:30pm and then head down to the sand for weekly fireworks at 9pm! Sponsored by local businesses, the fireworks draw a huge crowd and is a wonderful community event that everyone can enjoy.
On Saturday, hop on your beach cruiser and head over to the Carolina Beach Lake for the Farmer’s Market. Held from 8am-1pm every week, this is an awesome opportunity to pick up the freshest produce, funky crafts, coffee and more!
Carolina Beach understands that Sundays are for relaxing, so Sunday is movie night at the lake! Movies start at dusk, usually around 8:45pm. Bring your chairs, a blanket and some snacks and hunker down at the best place to catch a family-friendly flick!
Located only 10 miles from RiverLights, you can park your car and have your toes in the Carolina Beach sand in minutes.
