How to Keep Your Home Pet Friendly

How to Keep Your Home Pet Friendly

We would all do anything for our furry kids, but they can provide challenges from time to time — especially when enjoying your new home. Here are a few low-key ways to achieve harmony with your pets!

Vacuum regularly

Sounds obvious, but vacuum your house twice a week when your pet is shedding. Unfortunately, pet hair has an odor and it contains dirt-attracting oils that can soak into carpet fiber.

Pet-Friendly Fabric

Believe it or not, there is such a thing. It’s called Crypton, a synthetic fabric that’s resistant to stains, smells, bacteria and muddy paws.

Washable Fabrics Coverlets

If your pet sleeps with you, expect accidents. If you have a beautiful silk comforter, take it off the bed, and replace it with an all cotton cover, which can take the wear and tear of nails, drool, mud and hair.

Matchy Matchy

When choosing colors for your home, consider finding something that matches your pet’s fur color. This provides for some camouflage during the heavy shedding seasons.
