Festival of Trees
Saturday | December 4th | 5pm
Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony | 6pm
Live Oak Commons at Marina Village
109 Pier Master Point | Wilmington, NC
Get into the holiday spirit and join Riverlights on Saturday, December 4th at 5pm, in Live Oak Commons for our Festival of the Trees and Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.
This event will turn our community into a winter wonderland full of holiday music, complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, performances of the Nutcracker at 5:30 and 6:30 by the talented Wilmington Ballet Company, visits from princesses Elsa and Anna, and even the big man himself, Santa, will be here for families to have photos taken with him inside the Riverlights Information Center.
All Marina Village Merchants will be open, including our two restaurants Girls with Dough and Smoke on the Water, so you can be sure to grab dinner and still join us for our Holiday Tree lighting ceremony in the center of Marina Village, Live Oak Commons, at 6pm, where Riverlights will light up the village with a decorated, 18’ live tree.
Around the perimeter of Live Oak Commons, we will have five 7' trees which will each be decorated by local nonprofits including, Eden Village, Communities in Schools, Paws for People, Cape Fear River Watch, and Cape Fear Honor Flight.
At the Riverlights Tent, we will provide ballots for guests to vote on their favorite tree and will donate $1,000 to the organization with the top winning tree. Non-profits will be present that night to show off their tree and have information and staff or volunteers available to share more about their mission and needs.
